About

Family, Marketing and People

Born and raised in Portland, Or., I currently live with my wife and three young kids in the city I grew up in. I attended Gonzaga University and University of Portland where I quickly discovered my passion for advertising, storytelling and people. I studied marketing, sociology, history and english, and was able to get an internship working for one of the largest sports companies in the world (adidas) in my final year of college.

My internship turned into my career and over the past 13 years Ive worked in multiple roles across the organization including retail, originals, style, running, basketball, football, soccer, wholesale, Foot Locker Inc. and most recently global brand marketing. Regardless of which part of the brand I was working on, I learned that one of my true passions was working with and developing people. It’s the people that make up the organization and determine its success. It’s the people that create the culture. I believe that great marketing and great brands need the sturdy foundation of great culture and people in order to be successful.

When I’m not working I’m spending time with my three children (all under the age of 7). They bring new life into every experience and through them I get to relive the best parts of my childhood like playing sports, games, traveling and arts & crafts. My kids keep me young and they inspire me everyday.

When I see what brands can do for the world, the world that my kids will grow up in, I’m driven to be a part of the positive change that can make the world a better place. That is why I love marketing so much. Wheather it’s creating a laugh, cry, scare, or literally changing peoples lives, marketing has the power to make real impact. This is why I’m so passionate about marketing.
